My dad's buddy, Ron was just telling us a story that happened to him recently when he was in his 72 camaro.... First off this 72 is built like a brick **** house. it's a 350 punched .70 over, cammed, true duals with turndowns I believe right after the tires, Dart Heads, all kinds of goodies that i can't recall.No expense is spared when it comes to his engines.... anyways It hasn't been dyno'ed but i'd say he's pushing at LEAST 450 HP probably more. He's in his mid 40's he's been into cars since he was like 14. He knows what he's doing obviously. Anyways he was in Muncie,Indiana and was at a red light on highway 32 when all the sudden this dark metallic red 93-97 camaro comes out of nowhere and pulls up beside him and so Ron thought the dude wanted to run. The light goes green and Ron just hammers into it... That four barrel kicks in and he said he looked into his mirror and sees cherries and berries flashing in the back of that camaro! He was unaware of the fact that muncie has 4 LT1 Z28's they use for highway patrol. So Ron said **** it cuz the LT1 was like 6 car links or more behind him and that cop was giving it hell. He said he floored it and turned off of a exit ramp and drove the back way home. He's in the process of repainting it now. I am going to go get my suspension fixed by him this weekend so Ill be sure to take pics maybe some video

 

I kina tried that once when I was late. Cop was headed the opposite direction and I saw him start to turn around in my mirror. So I turned into a neighborhood and took 4 or 5 quick turns and I look back and he was right behind me. So I ended up just pullin over and he just gave me a verbal warning. Got really lucky.

 

wow hope the cop didnt git the tag #'s....even if he is painting his car there's still the chance the police will be looking for him[:-]

 

No it's nothing like that... this was months ago he just told us about it the other day though

 

arent the highway patrols white,blue, or black ? i never heard of a metallic red one

 

I've seen them all sorts of colors. Red doesn't surprise me in the least.

 

yeah they sometimes paint the cars in normal colors to screw people over like they did to Ron. Thats happen here in El Pasoto me before 2in my 80 Z28, it was a damn policedodge charger.
