so we ran them last night. pulled off to a little road and lined up. we went from a dead stop and i let him say when. of course he jumps it tho. just as he says go, he takes off. had me beatme by a goodbiton reaction time. anyway he takes off, i try but my tires spin pretty good. i knew they would but couldnt help it. when i finally launch, hes got at least 3 lengths on me. i real him back into about 1 or 1 1/2 and then we stay pretty even. it was a 2 lane road with a turning lane tho and im in the turning lane so i gotta merge with him. we only got to about 65 or 70. not exactly the kind of race that i wanted but i was impressed with the little mustang. we're talking about taking them to a 1/4 mile track sometime soon tho to really get an even race out of them. hopefully ill have new tires by then lol

 

You also don't have to stomp it right off the bat- just give it enough gas to avoid spinning the tires but to get moving, then stomp it as soon as you are- your launch will be just slightly slower, but if you do it right, you'll more than make up for it by not spinning 'em.

 

thats what i tried. its just my tires. theyre bad enought that if im going like10 mph in 1st and i stomp it, theyll still spin. i just need some new one. some goodyears or something. overall tho, im not dissapointed at all. he got there first but he evenadmitted to jumping the start. if we lined up and both went at the same time, i would have had him by a length or 2. im sure its not over tho. we'll pull up next to a light one day and do it again lol

 

i had a kid in a late model 6 bang stang pull up next to me and rev up his motor lol guess he didnt see the z28 emblem on the side cause i bing mine off the limiter a couple times then he didnt want to race anymore hahah

 

Fair warning... PLEASE don't waste your money on an upgraded ignition because it IS NOT going to make any difference in our cars...

 

And if your 3.8 runs 17 seconds... Your car royally sucks

 

haha yeah i got my 2001 3.8 with no mods except cold air intake.
