i believe the cobalt ss that is supercharged or turbo'd runs about the same times as a stock lt1, however they dont have any torque and have 4 less cylinders firing.and a chip(the one you have installed)really wont do much for you

there quick for what they are. but a v8 will almost always win at faster speeds.
and the ss are factory supercharged. but either the ls or lt is turbo'd wth a smaller engine like a 2.0 instead of 2.2. i believe thats how it is.
but sounds like a good race =D

Its kind of odd with the SS they made them in a supercharged version and in a non supercharged version the engine was a 2.0 in the supercharged version not sure about the non supercharged. The 2.0 is actually a saab engine its a nice engine forged enternals piston cooling. The newer SS is turbocharged with I believe the same 2.0 engine except it puts out more power. I am thinking it must have been the turbo ss because of the pop off valve thing but who knows.

The supercharger was only used in 05-07. Now they are only turbo'd with 260hp...

Oh, and the 2.0L were the only turbo/supercharger engines. The LSJ S/Cand the LNF Turboengines were 2.0L. Then they had the 2.4L. The LSJ S/C put out like 205hp/200ftlband the LNF Turbo put out about 260hp and 260ft lb. the 2.4L (LE5) put out 173hp/163tq in the06-07SS and 171hp/167tq in 08.. which is lame... A buddy of mine has the LNF engine in his SS. Hes got the stage two package i believe is what he saidand GMMG exhaust.

There are a few different cobalt SS engines now. Only the SS came with a Force feed engine NOT A LS or LT. The older SS is Supercharged with a 2.0L engine it is rated at stage 0 at something like 200HP and 205torque and will run very low 14s stock with the right driver. The newer SS is turbo charged at somthing like 265HP and related torque. The new turbo engine is amazing and gains power very easy from simple fuel, air, and tuning mods like most forced induction factory vehicles. Its still up for debate but there are few guys that can pull off very high 13 second passes bone stock and yes it is still the same 2.0 block as the SC was. There is also a NA SS that supports the 2.4L DOHC engine that is rated some where in the 170HP range. Driving the SC to the NA is like day and night and you cant even hold them close to each other.
