02 V6 VS. 09 Golf GT Turbo
 

So I finally got the new(er) PCM in the car. Been driving it, almost done the mods. Friday night, had some kids in a Hyundai try to race me. Waved goodbye as I went from 1st to 2nd. Ricer driveby three lights later after they kept hanging back from the red lights.

Saturday night, took a friend and GPS out to a long four lane. Wound it up to 215KMH (134 MPH). She was at 4,400 RPM in o/d, and slowly climbing. There was cars ahead further down the road, so I backed off.

Today me and a friend went at it. He has the above mentioned car. 2009 Golf GT with an aftermarket turbo on it. (ATB?) We started at 120 KMH and went up to 200. We were dead even, neither one of us pulling on the other. Have two others who can verify as each car had a passenger.

Pretty happy with it keeping up with a newer turboed car. It should keep me satisfied until I can find a V8.

One of the funniest things is seeing all my German buddies looking for Camaro's since I bought mine. They all love the RWD with a bigger engine over the japanese FWD's. Might have to do with gas being cheaper, I don't know :icon_bike:

Yea, agreed on that. thankfully they are smart enough to stay away from the funny cars with the blue oval on the front end :icon_angel:
