Default O2 Sensor Hanging From Headers

So I look under my car and see an O2 sensor hanging from the drivers side headers. I have no Idea where it is supposed to plug in. I searched all around the area of the hanging plug and could not see anything that looks like its missing an O2 connection. I have a 90 Iroc 350.

Not quite following you. Is the oxy sensor hanging from the header, or from a wire that it's plugged into near the header? If it is hanging from the header, how do you mean? If you're talking about aftermarket headers (not the stock manifolds), then it sounds like somebody didn't weld in an oxy sensor bung so the sensor can get installed. Without it, the engine will be running too rich.

Sorry its hanging from a wire plugged into the header. The guy I bought it from said he put new headers in it so I am assuming it is not stock

If you don't have it already, set up a photobucket.com account. Store the pictures there, then copy and paste the "IMG" code here.

Yeah, that is your oxygen sensor. Looks like a Bosch style, which has a fatter casing than some others. The wire that's hanging was connected to a wire (usually purple) coming out of a harness in the engine compartment. Pop the hood and do some exploring for an open wire, or a place on a loom that looks like it may have had a wire coming out of it at one time.
