Whats that Bar under the hood?
That special bar under the hood, I see it sometimes, its a car modification.
Its usually a red bar, that goes from one side to the other, like a Control arm or something? I am wondering what it does?
Its just a piece of metal from one side to teh other?
This is the only pic I could find, you see thaT?

Its a strut tower brace. A strut bar is designed to reduce this strut tower flex by tying two parallel strut towers together. This transmits the load of each strut tower during cornering which ties the two towers together and reduces chassis flex.

Ya it's a shock tower brace. If you take it off you'll notice your car doesn't handle the same when turning. They are and amazing piece of metal. They are around $100 bucks depending on the brand you get. If you don't have one I recommend buying one.

I agree. I have one and it feels better when turning. I picked up a BMR Chrome-moly one for around $130.

I had one on Sarah and it made a big difference but when I put that bar on the Z28 it really changed that car's handling. They are worth every penny. I found that you can use the bar for the 3.8L on a LS1 car and it fits better than the one designed for the LS1. After I installed the bar I noticed less flex where the T-top meets the windshield on both cars. I cant wait to see what subframe connectors do!

All he has is a z now. Sub Frame connectors are helpful for more then just torque and horse power. They make a huge deference in cornering aswel. The less body flex the better control you'll have when cornering.
