I have a manual steering 69 with a 350. I recently purchased the car and at some time in the past it did have power steering(its a non numbers matching engine and the mount for the steering pump is there). What would be the best way to install power steering?? This car is a weekend driver and Im hoping to put 18inchers all around and power steering would be nice.

You might want to look at some of the vendors sites (www.rickscmaro.com) and see what kind of set ups they have and go from there.

 

just buy a p.s. box, pump and brackets. you'll also need to buy the correct pitman arm for the box. the hardest part will be separating the old pitman arm from the suspension (and that's not that hard)

while you are at it, you might want to look at your rag joint, because chances are that you will want a new one
