New Parts
My 87 IROC-Z never had any front end steering work done on it in 22yrs. So now is the time, to replace all the wore parts and tighten everything up. Since I did not want to do any running around looking for the correct parts I went with SPOHN PERFOMANCE and their complete front end kit delivered to my front door in four days).
Since I have previouslly purchased parts from them I had no worries about quality. Another plus was it is Zinc coated unlike the Moog's bare metal finish. The installalation is going to be completed by the end of April.

Looks sweet. How much did it run you if you don't mind me asking? My 83 Z has all the original front end components (minus the Prothane bushings, struts, and brakes) and she has no play or pull in the steering, tight as it was new. However im always looking to upgrade...
Well finally found the time and installed the front end parts. After 22yrs, I was getting too much slop in the steering. Now it is back to being like a new car, with the steering wheel having about one inch of travel before the wheels turn. Feels great....Only problem was getting the lower ball joints out after all the years of being rusted to the A-arm.
I would recommend the Spohn kit for anyone thinking about front end work, everything in one package.
