whats best?
ok so i'm looking foward to get a new exaust for my car, and i was wondering waht type might bring the best sound and power gains, i was looking forward divorced duals with glass pack, what you think? lound huh? well is this legal or would i have lots of crap from the 5os,
would it be better to go with an x pipe? H pipe? right now i have the stock Y pipe and idk what mofler, what would give that deep and yet loud sound of a hot rod?
also where can i find headers for my car its a 1979 camaro 5.7, the problem is that most of the ones i find aren't legal for california due to emissions crap and the ones that i find are the short stock ones, i wanted something better.

Is money an issue? As for the x pipe vs. y pipe vs. h pipe problem, the x pipe will give u more flow and power gains. the h pipe is kind of restrictive. the x pipe gives a higher pitched sound. As for headers, theres a lot of companies to look at. Hooker, Hedman, pacesetter etc. I'm not sure if kooks will do a long tube header for the '79. Borla will give you the best quality sound but may be out of price range. Magnaflow is good with price and sound. I'm not a big fan of Flowmaster, i think their mufflers sound bad in higher RPMs. If you want information from a company just call them up, it can't hurt. They're usually very helpful and know what they are talking about. If kooks made long tube headers for your car, i'd definiely look at them first, but like borla may be out of price range.
iight thx, good info right there i did know ... kindda anything about exhaust and i've seen all those headers and what not except that all of them say not legal for use in CA or emission controled veicles...and well i'm in CA and i need to pass emissions so just wondering if anyone had that problem before.
