We own a small farm so our 78 Camaro is a Winter project. The first winter it got a complete new exhaust system from the motor back. Also that winter I gutted the interior and all is new. as for seats I found a set of leather seats out of a Probe for $50. they set a little taller than most but my wife and I are short so they work well.
This winter we are hoping for a new motor and then new gears for the rear. Last will be body and paint I figure thats about 2 years out. I love my project.

This is my 80 Z28.It has a 350 with a 4 speed manual tranny and a 3.73 posi rear.I've done a few things on the motor, aluminum pulleys and water pump, edelbrock carb with an air gap manifold,i installed an electric 2 speed fan from a ford taurus and mounted it in a custom made aluminum shroud. The interior was all redone over the winter of 2011,i installed the jegs racing style front seats, and had an upholstery shop do the back seat to match the fronts.I also installed autometer ultralite gauges in an aluminum bezel, and added an aftermarket steering wheel,as well as redoing the door panels and changing from the original style arm rests,i decided to go with a late 60's nova style arm rests.

Since I own a small farm my 78 Camaro is a winter project. To this point we have completely replace the exhaust system from motor to rear of car. Next I gutted the interior and replace everything from dash to read deck. I found a set of leather seats at a wrecking yard for $50 out of a probe fit well . We have added new chrome wheels that fit the peroid. Next I will replace the motor, will stay old school and am looking for only 325hp. After that I will replace stock gears with 3.42 posi gears. Because I work on this only in the winter it will take a few years to finish, but that is what I was looking for.
