You really believe that? 2 restore big block Chevelles made 3 years a part Vs a 4th gen Firebird a boat and a tractor. If everyone on this site was a classic purist maybe, but I would be willing to bet money you would have 8 votes for either Chevelle instead of 4 and 4.

The 66 is definitely one that's more for just the purist... boring to others ,bone stock, benchseat, 3 spd, no PS, PB, quiet exhaust etc.., however the 69...well, that's a little sexier and could attract not just the purist, but anyone thats into cool cars, built 396, big cam, headers 3'' exhaust , 4 speed with buckets & console...and we cant forget the plate
I definitely think that some that voted for the 69 may not have voted for the 66, but not necessarily so, the other way around.
If I had to guess, I think the 69 would probably do better on this site, however the 66 always does fantastic at shows, and besides, I couldn't have made the decision on which nom not to accept.

I'm sure he was referring to the original LS6 big block 454 450hp that came in specially optioned 1970 SS454 Chevelles not the new LS6 small block.
The top engine choice was the LS6 version with 450bhp. The LS6 had a 800-cfm Holley four barrel on an aluminum manifold, 11.25:1 compression, solid lifters, four-bolt mains, forged steel crank and connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, and deep-groove accessory pulleys. No production engine ever had a higher factory horsepower rating.

The SD was rated at 290BHP by pontiac but even the experts agree it was closser to 400whp. The car ran 13s in the 1/4 somthing very rare for a production car in the 70s.

well good one to Rdot for the video it was pretty funny, me and my oompa lumpa car , imao!! But you know for a 1970 is will still out handle MOST american cars!!!
However on a more serious note I thought a few more of you guys would have at least appreciate the little MG for what it is, not one f-ing vote
I like the american cars for there stupid size and massive engines straight line performance and inability to turn, but hey its character right
