Here is a pic of our Monte that we sold 3.5 years ago and here is our new car. All the fab work is pretty much done. We just have to zues the front end on. Its just sitting on there in the pic.

We raced Top Sportsman with the Monte best ET of 6.89 at 202 on a mild tune up and only 2 stages.

We will be racing the Camaro in the ADRL Nitrous Extreme class and some Pro Mod stuff. Same motor that was in the Monte (632) but with 3 stages and a more aggressive tune.

WOW At first I though that was Mike Morans car. That camaro is just sick. The flames bead rolled in the firewall are different. Glad you had fun with the build, makes me wanna go drag racing again.

The monte actually used to belong to Ken Langois from Michigan. The 4th time out after he had the car built it broke a beadlock @ Milan and flipped end over end 4 times and barrel rolled 5 times. It was a total loss for him at the tune of like 75k. We had been looking for a new car after we sold our Firebird than ran 8.60s. The firebird was one of our first chassis cars that we built and it was all mild steel. We wanted to step up and race Top Sportsman and the firbird was just not meant to go that fast. So we bought the wrecked chassis from Advance Chassis, who originally builtt the car. They put a new front clip on the chassis and it took us about 2.5 years to finish it. We raced Top Sportsman for about 4 or 5 years and decide it was time for a new car and time to go faster. The Camaro is absolutely amazing and a much better car than the monte. Everything inside is all Carbon Fiber and much lighter than the Monte was and it is a Double framerail car where the Monte was not

Here are some pics of the Monte when we first got it and towards the end of the build. This is how it looked when we first built it and the year before we sold it we put a new 1 piece nose on it because we liked the convienence of taking the whole nose of versus the hood and then the nose and we added the stripes as well.

Here is a pic of the inside of the Camaro. I think you can see the difference in the cars :).

Wow! If it wasn't for the grille I wouldn't even have recognised it as an early 2nd gen Camaro! They sure streamlined the body to the point of not looking like a 2nd gen.
I assume you meant Dzus fasteners on the front clip?
Let us know when you make the first runs. Interested in what times it turns. What block are you using in that chassis?

Sonny Lenard has a new 1005ci monster. Its in this months HotRod. Damn thing has a beer can in the intake runner.
