Here she is! 69 vette. Matching numbers 350/4spd, fiberglass is in great shape, new fuel tank, everything is there (though not all in picture... put it all in the truck) and most of the chrome is in good shape. Not the original wheels obviously but the 15" torque thrust style actually do look pretty good. Original color is fathom green... factory side pipes. Only thing not there is the windshield. It was cracked beyond any worth.

You and me both Buddy! I owe Arrow one for lending me the trailer. First thing on my list is paint. The wiring harness is actually not in bad shape. Just a few cut wires. I can fix that. Then upholstery.

Haha hopefully I'll have her done. I think I'm gonna go through the motor too just to be safe.

Scooch May 12, 2013 12:13 AM

yea, if you dont know anything about it I would too. I was fortunate to know that mine had just been gone through. I bet those wheels clean up nice too. are they 15's or 16's?

Congratulations man, welcome to the club!

bobarian91 May 12, 2013 12:27 AM

They are 15s. I actually really like them too :) and thanks 69!

So minimal rust, that's good. Did you check all the important spots? The door hinge pillar/lower windshield is one. You'll know if it's solid if the hinges don't flex when you try to push the door beyond the all the way open point. Another thing to be cautious about is the brakes. When these cars sit for a prolonged period of time, the cylinders in the calipers develop a rust ring giving you leaky brakes allowing you to easily rear-end somebody. Would be a very good idea to invest in 4 replacement stainless steel calipers. Just one of many nickels and dimes to come! ;)

New brakes are absolutely in it's future. I did notice a few things that need to be replaced. The radiator support for sure. And just a few other odds and ends. Two parts I havent tried to find in the jumble are the cowl at the base of the hood and the fuel filler cover. I'll start sorting through stuff soon :)
