So I've been finally getting some work done to my '97 RS and I wanted to get some times recorded on a local track. Only one problem: There's no tracks on Long Island that I can find. I'm trying to find something in the tri-state area at most, but if anyone knows anything on Long Island, it would be very helpful. I have a place around here that has a Dyno, so I could always make an appointment there. I want to hit the strip and get my 1/4-mile times

 

no tracks on long island, look into atco/e-town in jersey, cecil county raceway in maryland (not as far as it sounds), capitol might not be too far from you either, all depends on where in LI you live.

 

also there is lebanon valley dragway, lancaster county dragway,

 

There's one in englishtown nj

 

The 3 closest ones to LI are :

Island dragway, Great Meadows/ Hacketstown, NJ off US 46 (NW NJ)
Atco Raceway, Atco, NJ (Southern, NJ)
Raceway Park, Englishtown, (Oldbridge township) NJ exit #9 off NJTP (Central, NJ)
Of course, if you don't care whether you get time slip or a ticket, you can always take your chances on Deer Park RD, in Deer Park, between 1 and 3 AM (Central LI) lol.

 

Get a tape measure a friend a stop watch and a long strait road and you will be good lol

 

Oh no. I hear reports of accidents on that road almost daily.
