What all do I need to supercharge my 79 z28?

Ok. Like a lot of people in here im new to this, but heres my main question:

I want to supercharge my 1979 Z28. it has a350 v8 thats bored 30 over, TRW pistons, original heads cut for 375 valves, and has a 30/30 solid lifter cam and a 830 holley carb. It also has a 350 Turbo TCI tranny with a 2500 stall.

What will I need to get to supercharger it? (Please dont say a "supercharger"

Also, what else will I need to upgrade buy?

Id like it to be a lot faster, and to be able to take it to the local drag strip (Mooresville, NC) but still maintain regular driveability. Any help you guys have is greatly appreciated. thanks.

RE: What all do I need to supercharge my 79 z28?

The easy part:
Being that the car is carburated, it is a good candidate for a roots blower, with the carb sitting on top of the blower. If you are going to use a centrifugal supercharger, you will need a blow though system with a pressurized carburetor, which is a PIA to deal with. For street use the roots blower with a blower tuned carb is more drivable and responsive than a centrifugal set up, but you need a hole in the hood.
The hard part:
How much power are you looking for? The more power you want the more boost you will need, and the engine will need to beefed up accordingly. High compression and high boost do not mix well, so if you want big power numbers you need to replace the pistons with something less than 8.5:1. The rest of the rotating assembly is going to take a beating, so you should have forged crank, rods, & pistons. A good free flowing exhaust is also necessary to get rid of all the additional exhaust.

And yes, you will need a supercharger. Also, don't write so big next time; you are scaring the people away. LOL
