This gets discussed about once a week, Long and short,
Will it fit, no it wont bolt right up, What do you need to change, A lot, expect to sink like 3000 into a 2000 dollar car on a project like this. And also if im not mistaken t3 is just flange size right? The turbo itself could be anything right? |

You're better off trading in your V6 Camaro for a Z28.

you should trade in your brain for a real one. bet this v6 would own the z28 http://www.fquick.com/garages/Chevrolet/Camaro/1997/930 |
Calm down with the insults. A turbo for a V6 Camaro is very expensive to do it right. Costing thousands for the turbo system and the parts to build the V6 to handle the boost. This also kills the car's drivability. A Z28 with an LS1 will make about similarly the same horsepower as a turbo V6, but will be much more reliable, much more drivable and cheaper in the long run.

It's your OPINION as to which is better, insulting someone by telling them to get rid of their car is just that a freakin insult. this is his exact post "How you guys doing i have a 2000 3.8 camaro and my friend has a t3 turbo will it fit my car? and what would i need to change so i dont blow the motor.. Thanks " how is telling him to ditch the car and buy a z28 answering his question ? quit being an a** and just answer what someone asks. why buy a z28 when you can buy a corvette ??? get a brain and quit bein a di** |
A LS1 Z28 will be more drivable, more reliable and cheaper. A turbo V6 is expensive, kills MPG's and will not be as reliable. I'm not being an idiot, I'm being realistic. He's going to need to get that motor built to handle the boost. Like forged pistons, forged rods, turbo camshaft, etc. These are not cheap.
