RE: supercharging a Big block

I never tried supercharging a Chevy big block, but I have done several Chrysler hemis, and I suspect the idea is the same. To make real power you need a strong bottom end, that means forged everything, low compression between 7&8:1, sodium cooled exhaust valves, big exhaust to let all the burned gases out, fuel system big enough to handle the power you expext to make. Blower grind cam. Good flowing heads. Most important high boost (around 20 PSI +). Strong ignition to light up the big charge. Avoid blow through systems, too fussy to have fun. For street use I suggest something that looks impressive such as an 871 with twin 4bbl on top. For racing, go with a screw type supercharger, topped with fuel injection.

Well are u gonna be running all the "good stuff" in the motor. High comp pistons all that good stuff and running cam2 bc if ur not then its all gonna be for looks bc then the highest piston u can run in 9 to 1 and run on pump gas and if would be a stock motor.
