Pros- it gives you a lot of power at the push of a button at relatively low cost. Cons- you could easily blow your motor if your not careful and even if you are careful it wears your engine faster.

i'd second jordan on the noz. unless you get the car tuned or the kit comes with something to change the ignition timing then there is a chance that you'll detonate the pistons as noz makes the cars run hot. What else have you got done to the car??

I've also heard that only the mid 90 cars, depending on how many miles, if you don't upgrade other parts, such as your fuel line, you run the risk of destroying your engine, your entire car at that...

To be safe, a programmable EMS and a bulked up fuel system... I.E if you plan running 500HP with nitrous engaged build your fuel system for 600HP at 80% injector duty.

The LS1 loves nitrous. There are tons of guys out there running 100 shots untuned. However for safety i do recommend running some sort of tune for any thing over 75 just for peace of mind. Yes you will fill a 75 shot trust me on that one. As far as going bigger then the safe limit is about 150 and thats with one good tune and supporting mods. Of course you do have a few freaks pushing 200 shots with stand alone fuel systems for added octane but thats pushing the stock bottom end HARD!!!

its pushing it but ive seen a decent amount of ls1 guys pushing stock bottom end motors that far. usually dont last the longest. if your worried about the motor there's things you can get to be real safe lik the hsw micro edge it monitors A/F and shuts the system down as soon as it goes lean it works as a window switch and a bunch of other stuff

150 shot on a well tuned motor with the right supporting mods will last for a good bit. At that level it all comes down to the tune.
