Confusion
Here is my problem, what to choose. I work for a performance company called Perrin (perrinperformance.com) and our parts designer, Jeff, has decided he wants to work on my car as a hobby. I was simply thinking of giving my car about 150 shot just to give it a little extra bump. Another option i was thinking about was a supercharcher to mount on top of carbs. Well Jeff had a different idea; he wants to custom make a turbo kit for my car. But he has never work on a car like mine and is a bit lost as well. I found out that there are carbs for turbo’s but how does that work, can it even create a tight enough seal not to loose boost. Another thing my buddy at Baxter auto parts was talking to me about was a pro charger, which from my understanding is just a belt driven turbo, like a supercharger. I was wondering if anyone else has tried to do this to their car. It is a 77 Camaro; I know everything in it will be able to handle up to 700 horses but just not sure how to get it there efficiently and effectively. Another think Jeff and I talked about was making my car fuel injected seeing as he would be able to get a great deal on some conversion kits.

RE: Confusion
You actually buy a housing that the carb goes into.

Fuel injected with a full standalone engine managment system is the way to go when it comes to forced induction, especially turbo's
