my boost gauge show about 18 psi vacuum when at idle. when igive full gas, it is about 5 psi of boost at 5000 rpm. i watched many videos on youtube andsome of the videos say that they run 10- 27 psi. am i running the rightamount or could i getsome more psi???p.s. i don't know what kind of supercharger i have. you cant even see it!

Default RE: Boost

5psi boost is about the limit for most engines that weren't purposely built for supercharging. More boost will get you more power but the engine may suffer. More boost requires lower compression, more fuel, less spark lead, colder plugs, better ignition, and an engine built to take the stress of additional power, plus a bunch of other things.
