Where does one shop?
New guy here.....looking for 1969 Z/28.
A little overwhelmed by the information/distrust on many websites. Looking for your advice on where and how to shop for a numbers matching car; there must be some good websites with integrity out there. Shiner |
I take it you're referring to sellers stretching the truth about their cars? Have you been finding out that people have a different idea as to what the terms "original" and "excellent condition" mean? I sure have seen those differences before. Not sure what you're looking for though, when you say "good websites with integrity"? Have you been looking at general car for sale websites, or classic restoration companies that are selling cars? To find "the one" is probably going to take some time, and research on your part.

I have time, let the search begin.

Research the Camaro's. Use your gut feeling.
If one does not feel right, walk away. There are a lot of fake trim tagged Camaro's out there. Tip: If looking for an authentic Z/28, those Z's certified by Jerry McNeish, are true. He is paid to verify. His certificate is worth the gold. If you find one with Jerry's work, give him a call for verification on it. Camaro Hi-Performance ?
