agree with ^^^ evertt. and just boring it would add a few hp. also if i were to get an engine bored over i would add a better cam and heads. check the numbers on the heads to see what kind they are.

an also back then the TA was rated the same hp I think back then they were very underated on hp as dynos were not that big ,my 92 TA felt all as powerful as my 350 lt1 for those day ,back then hp was not big ,what was that is was v8 ,but yes try checking the #s ,or ask the seller ,that you know they came with 305 ,so was there an engine swap at some point ,even stil for then it was a lot of hp ,I mention my 1988 Dodge Daytona at 90 hp was a little fast sporty car,an take the 1974 firbird with 455 were rated at 290hp seems low as the 400ci was putting out over 300 hp in 1970 for then that was the huge #s for Hp today its 2 x that,i hear them mention at auctions that a lot of the older cars are underated even new ones from the factory
