Today I bought my 69 Z28 Clone!!!
Hello Amigos!
Today I just got my 1969 Z28 Clone. I live in Mexico City and I went for the car to Guadalajara. It belonged to a guy from Monterrey. So it will actually cross 3 states to finally end in Mexico City were I will start working to fix the things that it needs to be fixed although they are less than I thought, in fact, I actually saw the car today and paid for it because it is in very good exterior condition and it needs more work in the interior.
The car was bought last year by the former owner to someone in Minnesota and it was drove all the way from there to Mexico during the winter and this guy practically got frozen in the car while driving it south of the border and after all his ordeal, now he had to sell it because he's getting married and he needed the money. I hope he can get another one soon because once you hear his story, you can almost feel shame of taking it from his hands.
Well, leaving the sentimentalism apart, now I have it and I will be asking lots of questions so I hope you can be as helpful to me as you are with the other Camaro enthusiasts and I will share with all of you the progress and may be someday I can even answer some questions as I get more experienced on this issue.
The greatest thing for me about all this is that this car was never sold in Mexico so there are only a handful of them in the whole country!!!
Thank you in advance for all your help!
Axel

RE: Today I bought my 69 Z28 Clone!!!
Guys:
Many thanks. I'm very excited on working on this guy.
Help me on the debate... Should I paint it black with white stripes or should I leave it like it is, orange with white stripes???
Suggestions are very Welcome!

Yeah, I say leave it orange.
And what's wrong with the dice? I don't see anything wrong with them. However, I think a cop could possiblity give you a ticket because they can obstruct your view out the windshield.
