This morning the car almost won't start. Never had this problem. Once it caught, it coughed and spit, rough idle, then seemed to run OK. While running I heard a high-pitched whine, almost like it had a turbo, the whine changed pitch with increased or decreased rpm. I drive it 18 miles to work every day, once I got to work, left it running, opened the hood, but could not hear the whine nor could I see anything unusual. Did have an oil change at 29452 miles, now have 29700 miles on it. Noticed a coolant leak at the water pump at that time. Put in some "stop leak" and no leaks now. Starting the car this evening to return from work, same thing, rough to catch. At stop light (less than 1 mile away) it stalled, after 2 trys it started. No whine tonight. Any ideas? As I said earlier, I have never had a problem starting the car. All hints and ideas will be appreciated.
