Should this happen
My friend and I started doing burnouts like crazy...so bad we were able to make rubber balls from the tires on the pavement ...its ok though because we got the tires from a junk yard and replaced them with the actual tires...But heres my question...when we finished the engine made a weired ticking sound and when we lifted the hood the coolant was bubbling it was so hot...is that normal?
It was like a 20 second burnout. |

Oh, and did you check your oil levels?

RE: Should this happen
Could be low oil, my engine started ticking once, my oil was low and thanfully I caught it before it was too low and put some in there, it quit ticking. Checki it before driving it again.

I got it checked out, it's a new motor I just got, still under warranty, and they said it's fine, but if I had gone any farhter it would have been bad news.

RE: Should this happen
The best way to burn rubber without hurting your car, is to take the wheels and tires off, pour a gallon of gasoline on them and throw a lit match on them. They will smoke like hell for a good hour. Also get a nice flame when they get hot enough and blow out. lol

RE: Should this happen
if burnouts give you a rush ... take it to the drag strip. if your gonna destroy your motor, atleast do it with style. sick

RE: Should this happen
What about the coolant bubbling. it looked like a freakin witches brew or something as gay as that.

RE: Should this happen
You probably blew a head gasket, and it will cost to get it fixed.
