My name's Frank and i'll be picking up my first camaro, most likely in a couple days, so i figured i'd jump the gun and join here. It's gonna be a little ofa fixer upper so i'm sure i'll be around the forums quite a bit. I'll post pics that were sent to me soon.

The car: 89 Camaro RS, 305 w/5 speed tranny. Currently in primer black and a rough interior. First thing i'll looking at doing is the interior (headliner apparently needs to be changed), the dash is worn, steering wheel will need to be changed/replaced. I eventually want to change the carpet and upholstry depending on how bad it is.

If anyone knows a company that sells kits for upholstry, headliners (not sure on the condition of the board hopefully it's salvagable), carpet, etcfeel free to post links.

Oh ya, i'm located in Vancouver, BC near the WA border.

Welcome to the forums frank. In the 3rd gen section there is plenty of knowledge there and the folks are nice, they should be able to help out with most of your questions.

Thanks, I still haven't picked up the freaking car since he's having problems changing the flat (long story) once that's fixed i can drive it home, which hopefully will be tomorrow. I have a few plans to start with, mostly bodywork and interior work, then i'll start slowing modding it.

Anyone know what the differential size is on the 89 RS? I only found the gear ratio (3.08)
