Noob from Ooohio with a 95 camaro convt
Hey what's up guys...I am in the process of buying a close family friend's 95 Camaro convertible...70k miles, green, tan leather, auto, v6...yep it's been his dd since he bought it new in 95...
We have to work out pricing and then she's mine...any thoughts on a what a fair price would be?
Again, 95 convertible, 70k miles, will need new tires, brakes and an alignment and a new top...
Thanks, Mike!

Check the floor pans out. I have been seeing a lot of early 4th gens with no floors at the rear seats. Is it the orginal top? As a general rule 10 years is about all you get from a DD rag top. They may not rip but they will shrink. Shrinking will cause a lot of problems with door alignment and leaking. There is no real repairing a top. It will need replaced if its the original.
If the top has been replaced and floors are solid and just needs the stated suspension repairs I would guess 3K ish. If it was all inspected and ready for the season I would say $4200+. Older used cars are like houses, a lot depends on where you car. Try to find some local information
Welcome and good luck.
Edit: also ask if the intake gasket was done yet. This is a common issue and there was even a class action law suit over it. If the intake gasket has not been done yet assume it will need so in the first year. You may want do a coolant pressure test. As always you should get the car checked by a mechanic.

Hey Gorn thanx for the info! Yep, original top, original intake gasket...
It's a very close family friend's so we worked out a deal of $500 + a home improvement project for him...I'm 25 and currently unemployed so I'm happy with the results...I'm alco mechanically inclined so I'm not afraid to tackle the top and or any engine or brake work that needs done to the car...
I actually have performed the majority of the maintenance to his Camaro...
Thanks again!
