Default Newb

Hey guys. Thought I'd join up to help in my search for info. BEFORE the purchase. Thinkin' about getting an '88 or newer Z, but want to make sure I don't get hosed. Many years ago, I owned a '76, and have been missing it ever since I had to get rid of it. For now, I have an '02 Eclipse, which is totally NOT me. Granted, I would love to get an '01 or '02 Z or SS, but am thinking about going older to avoid having to deal with a payment. So, with that said, what could I expect from say a '90-'92 Z as far as reliability at it's age? And as far as price goes, most of what I'm seeing is around 6K. Does that sound "fair"? I want something in good shape, not necessarily perfect shape.

Default Another question

Okay, next question. Just did a search on an LS1/LS2 swap. Well, not as much info as I was hoping for, but my big question is, has anyone on here done it, and how complicated was it? I figure if I get into a car that runs and will allow me to do it on my time, all the better. Also, is there any difference in the mounts for an LS1 vs. an LS2? How much fabrication am I looking at here? Would I be better off building up my own engine that would be a direct fit (been there, done that)? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
