I am new to this forum and I am in the process of buying a Camaro. I used to own a metallic blue 87 Iroc Z28 with the 350 and t roofs as a first car and now at 40, I want my first car back.

I am looking for 87-90 Iroc with a 350 which has not been modified extensively. However I could be talked into a 91-92 Z28 with either a 305 or a 350. I found one on CL. I am a Canadian and this car claims to be a local car with 130 000 km on the clock. The owner has posted it as a 25th anniversary heritage edition. I am familiar with this edition but it does not have the tell tale striping running down the car. The owner says the paint is original. He is in the process of supplying me the VIN. I was wondering if there are key things to look for in the VIN to verify his claim. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
