I'm a retired mechanic, and just drove with a buddy of mine to pick up this 69 Camaro he bought.
It has a supercharged small block in it currently and has been a drag car since the 80s.
It also came with the 396 and some of the stock parts.
Plan is to wire the car and get it running and driving, then sell the blower engine and restore the car and put the 396 back in it.
I'm hoping to gain some valuable information as we go about restoring it.
Looks like my days of retirement might be coming to an end. lol
The front clip is just on with a few bolts, it was disassembled when we 1st looked at it.
The seller put it back on, so we had less parts to move.
As it was the car had stuff in it, the beds of both the trucks, and a small trailer behind my truck.
It depends on how far and what you are going to use from what are going to use . There is pure stock then "resto-mod " and in between .There are a lot of books from assembly manuals other How to books out there .Just let us know .Good luck to you !
Welcome aboard, had a big block '69 decades ago and would love another but given asking prices these days it'll probably never happen.
Looks like a good start for a resto, love the RS/SS package and a big block to boot pretty sweet.
Is the 396 original to the car? That would really be the icing on the cake.

Pics of the Camaro and the Chevelle, it got dark while they were deciding to trade.
↑On the trailer going for a gear change, it has/had a 4.56 in it
↑ Then we picked this up for me, 1986 Z28 it was a buddy's and he passed away in 2019.
His wife is finally moving forward.
Fuel pump died than someone tried to steal it from the driveway, it got pushed into the garage in 2011.
I will make a post about it.
