So as the title says I'm new to the forum. Not new to forums and not new to Camaros. I've owned a 67,68,69,75,76,77 and a 79. I've also owned a 68 Firebird and a 95 Formula. I want to get another Camaro a 70 this time. Split bumper that has already been fixed up to the point where I can still get it for $10,00 or under since that is my budget. Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated since it's been years since I owned and wrenched on a Camaro and never a 1970. Thanks in Advance.

Wow, thats difficult. I guess i would start with Ebay/craigslist. It sucks but I honestly cant think of anywhere that would have that... check out or classifieds section and then move to ebay. honestly, ebay is going to be your best bet. those cars are getting harder to find.

Welcome to CF, Alki70.

Check the craigslists for California. There are a lot of cars out there that meet your budget and criteria. Bud will attest to that.

And you seem like a knowledgeable person, so please post up in tech then come chat with us over in the lounge. We are ALWAYS looking for members with experience. Welcome aboard, mate!

Your friendly forum Mustang Hunter,

Welcome to the forum. Your former cars sound like my dream cars. Mayb one day I can have a resume of cars like that. Look forward to using your knowledge to my advantage when the time comes.

So I wanted a 70 because I've never owned one and it's the year I was born but my love for the 68 has me looking at them to. I guess which ever one comes up first with the deal that I can't refuse will be the winner. I'm going to look at two cars on Thursday that are 3 1/2 hours away. Fingers crossed. I will post pics when I get one home.

Got my new car delivered yesterday. It's a 1973 Camaro. Not original 396 M22. Orange with white stripes. Non RS but it has a split bumper on it. Car has been in storage since 1977. Zero rust!!!! Almost complete subframe-off restoration. An over $10,000 paint job and near complete car. It's a roller with the power train in and just needs battery, alternator, fluids and some wiring to be running. I have to put the interior in the car but most of it is there. I will probably have to spend about $1,500 for the parts and about 50 hours to complete the car and I'm off to my local car show. I'm still a little stunned and super excited to get it on the road. I got it from a guy who was just tired of the project and wanting to buy a boat. Paid $9,300 and I'm sure it will apraise for more than double. I will post pictures when I can find my camera and figure out how to post pics.

Sweet find on the '73. Have you had a chance to snap on pictures of the jewel?
