Default New member here from DSMTuners.com forum

What's up everyone... I am here on this forum from DSMTuners.com, also a Chevy man at heart. My history is with 2 Corvettes, and my best friend is a Camaro man. He's had an '89 RS, '94 Z28, and now currently owns a freshly purchased '92 Z28 in perfect condition.

We are mainly interested in joining a forum that has people who are helpful and knowledgable, which is what we think we've found here. Our first order of business with the '92 Z28 is installation of a 6-speed manual. So if there are any of you who read this that have experience in this area, please let me know. I will post this question in the appropriate forum and read up on previously posted articles later, just wanted to step in and say hi.

And please don't flame me. For your information, DSM's are 70% domestic parts and assembled in Normal, IL!

DSM stands for "Diamond Star Motors", and is what made 1989 - 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipses, Eagle Talons, and Plymouth Lasers. They also made the Mitsubishi Galant from 1989 - 1999 under Diamond Star Motors. 1994 was the last year of the Plymouth Laser, 1998 was the last year of the Eagle Talon, and 1999 was the last year of the second generation Mitsubishi Eclipse, along with the disappearance of DSM. Now an Eclipse is just a Mitsubishi. DSM was more focused on performance, which is why you saw turbo charged engines in the DSM years, and when DSM disappeared, so did the turbos. This is why there is an entire community devoted to DSM's.

hey, never knew that such a company existed, my friend has a nice eclipse with 18lb turbos, its wierd when shifting you get thrown back more than alot of other cars, even if the other car is faster. so im guessing the camaro has a Tpi 305,or350? what are you looking to do to the car that you need help with? another site that has a lot of experienced tech's and mechanics is the camaro section at www.automotive forums.com , actually that is the site where i found out about camaro forums.com

F bodys are the nicest looking and funnest cars to drive and work on.
