Hi all I'm new to the forum but not to cars.I'm a transmission man of 29yrs. I'm into cars, motorcycles, guns, computers and I always love to look at pretty women.
A friend was telling me I should look at the 4th gen Camaros because they have everything I'm looking for. I wanted a first or second gen but my wallet isn't that fat!!
I live in Atlanta Ga about 40 minuets from roadatlanta so....I'm close to everything.

hay 2toe welcome to the forum. first you would need to decide which you like best. lt1 or ls1 4th gen. lt1 look better ls1 has more potential for power. good to have you with us, enjoy.

For sure an LS!! I don't care about numbers matching, it would be nice but....I just don't have that type of money. I want a driver, I cant have cars sitting around that's just not me. Plus I want this car to be a ripper.....as in 400+RWHP,standard is a plus but an auto is nice to. My wife can drive a standard so that not a problem. I did see the 99 have a burnt orange color that both of us like.
I have an 98 S-10 in great shape that ive been thinking about a LS swap but I'm really wanting a Camaro.

JMT's - 4th Gen is a good deal.
Especially starting with Z28 model. Comes with LS1 and either AT or MT and have a ton of safety equipment.
The reason I suggest Z28 is other models are V6 and people change to V8 and its alot of work - buy a V8.
SS's are a good buy, but you will pay extra for the model, but they are nice.

Make 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices. Since Wife will be driving, take her along.

My wife is a cool, she likes to get in on all the cool stuff just like we all do,so I'm sure she will want to test drive it.
If I wanted to do a V6-V8 swap I would do it to my S-10. I've added everything up and to do a LS swap right It would be around 6K For that money I can do a 4th gen then add goodies later and be that much closer to what I'm wanting. Less hard work more fun
