Default New here. Old elsewhere

Hello. I'm new here. Apparently these forums (a bunch, for different types of cars) are all run by the same server/whatever -- all the same look, etc. Anyway, I've been on the Porsche and Corvette forums for some time and thought I'd see if there was a Camaro forum, just typed in my guess at the address, and Lo and behold! There is.

I'm rather a nut about cars in general and GM engines in particular - not sure I'd own stock in them but I sure own a lot of their engines (about 4 or 5 LSs of various types). Truly believe the LS1-6 and C5R-LS7 are the best automotive engines ever built.

I love cars, all cars. I love Camaros. My first new car--off the lot, for $2368, was a 1968 Camaro::: i could only afford 327 cubic inchs and a 3-speed floor shift. Believe it or not that car, stock, could not make it into the 15s.----2-barrel Carter carb and those fiberglass rear springs and it just was pitiful. Eventually, with mods, I got it down to 14.6 and 96 mph, but I was is soi frustating.

I always said, someday, I'd get even.
