New guy to the site, I have a 91 RS convertible that I'm about to put a lot of work into. Currently it has a 305 TBI Lo3 motor making about 170hp[:'(], a 700R4 4spd auto, and a non posi rear end.

I've already found a posi wormgear and carrier out of a 91 IROC that I'm going to be installing, but I want to do a motor and possibly tranny swap next, not sure what I want to get though. I've found a couple LS1's and LT1's for sale locally, which would definitely be an improvement, but I think I want to be making somewhere around 400-500hp, so I might just buy a really built 350 crate motor. Not sure though. Any input or advice or "what I would do if I were you" responses gladly accepted[&:]

 

hey...i'd go w/ a LS1 or LT1 if you could get one...however, you could find a carb 350 for a lot cheaper and parts are also a lot cheaper
