new to chevy forum decision?
Hello I'm new to chevy camaros I've always liked them but never owned one. I want to purchase one now that I have a good enough paying job.. not sure what generation to buy though. Is there a generation that is easier to work on or easier to find parts for?
Welcome. As DC2250 said above, depends on what your looking for, what your abilities of wrenching are and how much $$$ you want to spend. Just beware of "misson creep". If you are not sure what that is, it is when you plan on spending a $1000 and being satisfied then you realize you have spent $10k and are wanting more!
I have bought 3 camaros, a 96, 97 and a 98 in the last year. All of them I picked up from $500 to $800 dollars. Two of them needed a motor and one needed a front bumper cover and some paint. Depends on where you are located to.
Good luck and happy wrenching.

Welcome to the forum. Best advice is to look at all the generations and figure out which one speaks to you. Then start searching for what you want/like. I don't think it's a wise idea to buy one because it's easier to work on or whatever, it probably won't make you happy.
Ok well I can wrench pretty well.. I went to school for a year so I know how to wrench.. I kno a little abt meauremts on a micrometer and a degree wheel... umm I live in Los Angeles California.. I love the 71 z28 but I know I can't afford one of those.. I checked craiglist and I have been finding a bunch of 3gens.. I have family in vegas and I looked on the vegas craigslist and I found a bunch of good 3rd gens for around 500-1300.. so I can deff afford that price range..
