Default New 68' SS Owner! Lovin life!

Hey CF members!I just wanted to take a quick second and introduce.I just bought my dream car; a first generation red1968 Camaro SS, Big Block 396,perhaps with all matching numbers and in great condition! I can't wait to geton the road and start my restoration project, all at the same time! I am stoked, beyond words, so I apologize if I am all over the board here in the next few weeks (or years). Thanks in advance for any help and time to given to answer any of my thousand questions!

My picture files are to large, so I will have to upload a picture later,if I can figure out how to downsize.

Rob

Congratulations Kona1, that looks like a sweet ride. You'll find the people here to be lots of help. Be sure to start a new Post in the 1st Gen Section so we can all keep an eye on your project as you make progress with the restoration. What does she need? It looks like a pretty complete ride from the pics. Anyway, good luck with your dream ride, I still remeber the day I brought mine home so I know how your feeling right now... Soak it up!!! I got tired of sleeping in the garage after 3 nights. Welcome to the Forum!!

What a great site!!!I have joined several others, days ago, without a response onmy initial postings?!Here I have response the same day on both of my postings! Good Stuff for sure.

Scooch- I have to agree, it is a clean ride, butneeds a littlework on the interior to get back up to shape, all be it not too bad ! The engine leaks tranny fluid, but I understandthat is to be expected with 1st gen.automaticsthat have been sitting for awhile? Am I correct on that?I also need to check the suspension....which I have yet to do.

bobarian- I will be sure to start a posting as I go. I could not believe the shape I foundher in and really can't believe I have all original on the engine, along withthe seats/dash etc.! Crazy!

Here is a pic of the engine...tell me what you allthink, if you can tell anything from the pic. Im new to this so any thoughts are welcomed!
