Just another noob to the FORUM. not the Camaro
Hey guys,
I've owned my 1968 Camaro since I was 17. And "yes" I bought her myself!
I am now 25 and looking to restore/rebuild her.
Here's my story:
I drove her for about3 years stock. And had a great time.
Then I got a rebuilt 350 bored out to 360, and then I slapped a tunnel ram intake on er' w/2 750 holley's. I never dynoed her, but i'm guessing she made about 380whp. I've gotten the wheels off the ground a couple of times.lol
anyways, i had my the original, numbers matching engine in the garage collecting dust. So, i did the right thing and had her rebuilt, balanced and blueprinted. And i just got the original power-glide trans rebuilt. hopefully i'll be able to put them in this summer.
My current to do list: install power steering/power brakes, buy a big brake kit, new headlights, rewire the whole car, add door poppers (since i deleted the door handles), finish body work/prime, install engine/trans.
that is everything that i need to do just to get her back on the road! And hopefully by joining this forum i can get some great info/feedback from you guys to help me get through the rebuild as smoothly as possible!
