hi people. just bought a 91 RS its the 305 w/ auto tranny. like i said its my first camaro so i really dont know much... all i know it has 14x7 front and 15x10 back for the wheels, sounds real good. and the plus is A/C works!!! lol now the bads are... everything! not really but only major thing i need is a new thermostat or fan switch, runs fine w/ ac on, but if i dont turn the ac on it will heat up because the fan doesnt come on... oh well a thermostat and switch come out to like $25 so im not worried bout it. ill post pics in the morning as its pouring rain here and its 1am. Any comments or tips would be appreciated!

 

welcome to the forum and at least thats the only bad thing when i first bought mine which is an 84 the rear end was going out it was blowing blue smoke and then the first 2 weeks i spent at my fathers cuz i was having coolant leaks but now my car is almost all done and the only things i havent replaced are the exhaust and it needs painted which should all get done here pretty quick

 

well thats the only major thing.... lol alot of the interior is on but is missing the hex screws or whatever they are so its all loose. the passenger window was all broken sitting in hundreds of pieces inside the door so i took the panel off and vaccumed it. replaced it with one from the junkyard. they took the trunk popper switch out and replaced it with a retarded lighted switch for neon lights under the car which are red(so illegal), that i now have to follow all the hacked up wiring and rip it out and hopefully they didnt mess with the oem wiring to much. needs a full tune up and new shocks and thats about it. well a paint job and the missing rear passenger ground effects, which i just orded from ebay, stock and in the same color.

*hey for $1100 im not complaining tho. i bought the themostat, thermostat gasket, radiator fan switch, fan relay, oil and filter today, didnt do any of it or take pics because its still storming here in tx real bad.

 

thats cool you could go down to the junkyard and get those screw too

 

i tried and found like 3 and the guy didnt even charge me but alot of the cars were stripped down beyond belief...

 

hahaha my junkyard for a while had one that was rolled and looked like it was going to break in half it was bad

Welcome to the forum, you should be able to find some of those screws at home depot. I know they have some SS ones anyway.
