hey new to the forum... (sad camaro story)
Greetings,
New to forum and glad to join, i recently just obtained an '85 from a family member and this is a sad story. Any help would be appreciated. The car needs a transmission which is the worst of my problems, its an automatic (going to do a 5 speed swap), but moving right along here, some kids in my neighborhood decided to take cinder blocks and smash every peice of glass, t-tops and all broke every light on the vehicle and completely ripped the back hatch off. Engine is in great condition and has even been turbocharged one point in time which is why i'm not getting rid of / parting out the car. Any advice as to go about returning this beautiful car back to its orginal state would be most appreciated. The pic of the car in the post is not mine but a good idea of what she used to look like. Damage pics are not able to be uploaded yet but will be up soon. Disregard the attachments.
Thanks,
Jeff

Wow, I'm thinking thats one of the most screwed up deals I've heard in a while. I'd be setting traps, catchin and skinnin some kids. Welcome to the Forum. Good Luck with your Ride.
Hey Alih, I think they call them Salvage Yards now, Unless by refering to it as a Junk Yard you meant since its a 3rd Gen??

Start off by buying a shot-gun and attaching it to a motion sensing turret, such as this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxBa5bQfTGcand make sure it never leaves your car's side. THEN, try some junk yards, there's a lot of third gen Camaros around in them...

NPD has parts. So does ecklers. I think if you google old car parts you might net some good result. Hope you find what you are looking for.
