hey guys!
Hey guys,
Just wanted to say hello! Recently just bought a new car.
2001 Camaro, it's the v6 3.8L.
Major upgrade from my ford probe.
^_^.
When I bought it the dealer said the heatplate was rattling, and it sounds exactly like it would be the heat plate, but like 7 days after i bought it, the muffler behind my cat completely popped off the S pipe behind my cat.
So I pulled over and Slid the pipe on and tried to tighten the clamp, but due to the rust, the bolt broke, just wondering if it's okay that i just weld it..
I figure it should be okay because if i ever buy an exhaust system all i have to do is cut the pipe..
Obviously welding would be better than JB welding it, but would it really be that much more effiecent?
Anyways, Sorry about my rambling.
I'm from Bountiful, Utah..
And my camaro has 102k miles on it, and it was 7k...
here's a picture, Just wondering if it was a good deal..
it's in near perfect condition, drivers side mirror is kind of mangled, 2 of the wires are broken in it, so it flops around in the wind..
And the reverse grinds sometimes when i shift into it, uhh trying to think about what else could be wrong with it.. Interior is in perfect condition, Except the vinyl leather on my shift stick is broken so it needs to be fixed..
it's got a few spots in the paint where you can see it has been keyed.. I'll post a few more pictures of the flaws when I get back on.
Haha you can kinda see my old ford probe that sits in the parking lot because it overheats! haha anyways friends are calling to play some halo I'll continue my post later on.
Thanks for the response in advance!

RE: hey guys!
Yeah, but I was just looking to buy a new car..
Not really going for anything fancy, is the LT1 the v8?
If so, I cant afford that kind of gas milage.
But I'm pretty sure i dont get much better with this one..

RE: hey guys!
I drive my 95 LT1 aggreesivly and in the city I get about 325 miles per tank. What is sad is I get better gas milage in that than I do in my CX-9 or my husband gets in his company provided 08 Charger that is a V6.

RE: hey guys!
Yeah, I almost went for an rx-8, assuming a 1.4 rotary would get decent milage, it gets like 17 mpg, so that was a no no..
But I'm really happy with my new car, It's so much fun to drive.. ^_^

RE: hey guys!
welcome to the forum
looks like an okay deal... my car was camaro had ~65,000 miles. its a 2001 v6 3.8, 5spd.... so, just like yours just in better condition than yours and w less miles... mine cost me roughly 7.3k after tax, title and interest... so... idunno how good of a deal it was.
very nice though. not my fav. color, but it looks good.
post some more pictures when you can.
