Hey everyone Need help on decision
Im new to this forum and I am excited to say that I am getting a camaro for my first car. The only thing is i cant decide what i want to get. According to my dad a V8 is out of the question.[:@] But I have found a white 98 with a $1200 sound system and a black 99 stock. Problem is I like black better but i like the sound system. There is my dilemma. BTW they are both Automatics with V6's.

Depends...do you want a car you like better or one that sounds better....I would say get the car you like better (Black) and get a system yourself. You can get systems that sound as good as a $1200 one for less then $600. Only thing that makes it so much is name brands. You should write down all the things you like about the white one and all the things you like about the black one and see which list is longer, Hope I helped you out a bit.

Get the one that is in the best shape mechanically and body wise. You can eat up $1200 pretty fast if the white one is a piece of junk. (But it will sound good sitting in the driveway.)
Only you & Dad will be able to tell which one is in the best shape. (Or a mechanic friend.)

x3....I have a few of those "really good deals"...[:@]. I was told to put in a wicked system when I bought the Iroc...every little rattle/vibrate turn it up... If you get a good car, the stereo will always come after.

I made like a chart with points and i added up which one had the most points based on like engine size, miles, etc. thanks a bunch. I am going to the auto auctions with a friend to see if i can get a good deal.
