Default Hey All!

New guy here, actually have a Corvette, however, I find Camaro guys sometimes have a better/different position than the Corvette crew. I get a lot of good ideas and insights. My car is a 1990 that started life with an L98, three motors later I have a SBC Gen 1 427 built by Pat Musi. My next projects for the car are an MSD upgrade and a Big Stuff 3 ECU.

Look forward to talking with all of you.

Pictures of the Corvette on www.picturetrail.com

Put in the top right hand corner, JSUPINO.

Here's some samples:

Three inch pipes:

Has 34K miles. 1990. Looks all stock but is completely redone from the water pump to the rear end. That pic is with the original TPI motor.

Details in next post.

As to the upgrades:

427 Dart SHP 400 Block
Dart 215 Pro Plat Aluminum heads 10.3 compression (pump gas)
LT Exotic Muscle headers.
3 inch custom exhaust with 3 inch Pickup Truck X pipe.
240/246 roller cam custom grind from Bullet set at 108 center line with 110 LSA
1.6 rockers .602 total lift
TPIS Intake. Thinking of going sheet metal.
Worked over 700R4 by Performabuilt Transmissions
Replaced the 3.08 D36, with a 3.73 D44 with hardened crynoed gears.
Rebalanced the drive shaft, etc....etc....etc.....

After 2 years of tuning issues, never got it running 100%, I'm switching to MSD Ignition going to the Digital 6 box and the 2345 Distributor with the cam timing. Also going to Big Stuff ECU that work should begin in about a week.

I've had it on the dyno trying to diagnose what problems may be.

I guessed within 2 HP of what the number was going to be at the wheels.

Now, that being said, I don't put a whole lot of stock in things like dyno numbers. I've seen cars perform on the dyno and suck at the track. Just syain.

With that said, to the wheels I'm thinking 575 to the wheels. If my guessing is as close as it was before, should be close.

Once that gets dialed in, and money flows a bit better, I'm looking at a ProCharger for about 8 lbs. Should put me up just about 850 to the wheels.
