hello all
hello everyone. i recently "inherited" an 87 2.8 V6 FI Camaro.
My Dad bought it for my Mom in 87 with about 2000k on it. some lady had bought it and then decided she would rather have a vette. my Mother drove it for several years then turned it over to my sister who had it for a little over 10 yrs. then my niece drove it as her first car for about 3 yrs. it broke the power steering bracket and sat at a garage for a couple months. they said they couldn't find one and if they could it would be about $300 to fix. i called around and found that the dealership could get them so i ordered one , fixed it and broughtit home with me.
its in pretty good shape and mostly needs lot of small stuff to be in great shape.
its not my daily driver so i can just pick at it a little at a time.
i'm not a great mechanic but i can do most things once i get a handle on them.
wanting to keep it original (even the V6) andhave no intentions of ever getting rid of it as it holds a lot of sentimental value.
i've gotlots of questions and will post some pics soon.
good to be here.
