Yeah, I may be in the market to restore a 81 Camaro. I figure I join and see what the possibilities and ideas I can come up with. I have never restored a car, never painted or fixed up a car before, so I am testing the waters. I am from Springfield Illinois and would love to hear from people in the area. My neighbor across the street is big into camaro's, and the guy I would buy it off of is a autobody tech that is into restoring Chevy's. So I just want to say hello and hopefully get into this addiction and see what I can do.

BTW, the car would be a 1981 Camaro. It is Corvette Yellow minus the green and 2 Black stripes down the middle. Any other questsions I would have to ask.

 

Welcome to the Forum! I joined in 2005 for pretty much the same reason. I was in the market for a 69 Camaro and didnt get mine until this past November 2007. My restoration skills were limited but I have come a long way in a short time, It really helps to have lots of talented friends!! Sounds like you already have a good neighbor for the job. The Guys (& Girls) on here are very helpful. Be sure to post pics of the Camaro you are talking about, I'm sure everyone will want to see it. Good luck with your venture.
