FL 1969 restomod.
Have a 1969 Camaro convertable roller.
Garnet red, automatic, 350, A/C car.
Going to build a black RS clone with ZL-1 ramjet.
Stock houndstooth interior. Stock exterior.
17" rally wheels
4 wheels discs
moser rear
global west suspension
cloth top
vintage air
Car will look as close to original as possible on the inside and outside.
Only under the hood will look modified with ZL1.
Will need assistance on build parts.

I word of warning. The rag tops are Very sloppy, You can do all the suspension mods in the world to it and it will not out handle a stock one by much if at all. When you go around a hard turn you end up on 3 wheels. A harder suspension can damage the body.
There is a reason GM never built a 1st Gen rag top Z28. Marketing wanted to and engineers just said no. Engineers did not want to put big blocks in them either but marketing won that one because at the time the stock tire could not cause enough body twist to damage the body.
To see what I am talking about put a jack under a lower control arm. Start jacking, note how high that tire is in the air before another tire lifts off the ground. Make sure your center support is there first. A lot people took that support off so they could run standard exhaust. Without that support the above test can damage the car.

thanks for the advise.
I have been in a big block 1969 pace car convertable and was content with the package for a sunday driver.
I assume building the exact car with ZL1 fuel injecton, 4 wheel discs, tubular control arms, detroit speed subframe connectors and radial tires should give the same abilty as the original but a little more user friendly?
I wont be driving the car much and not in anger when i do…..
