Default Body styles

Hi there to you all, you guessed it I'm new to this site! I'm a Brit living in Mexico and am finding information difficult to come by. Can anyone suggest a site that will give me body styles year by year. I am looking for a particular profile, angular rather than rounded, I think somewhere around '78/'79, with a flattish front end, not the Dodge Ram front!. Also was there a Camaro built with the designation GTI ( I saw one parked in Acapulco last week which had Camaro GTI on the front wing).
Many thanks

Thank you for fast response, I have done the E-Bay thing, so I will now have a look at Auto Trader.

You may be looking towards a 3rd Generation camaro. Look for a 1982-1992 camaro.

Also there is no "camaro GTI" someone just stuck a decal on thecar that said that. There is no such thing as a camaro GTI.

82-92 is what you're looking for. 71-81 arent really angular. and you had better know what a 67-69 looks like lol.

Welcome to the forums. If you look in the ride of he month section or check out our photo gallery you will see examples of most body styles. A brit in mexico, seems like loads of fun. You might have better luck (this is going to be blasphemy) looking inot a vw beetle, from the 80's back, there is alot of them there and parts would be alot easier to find.
Good luck on your search!

Hi,
I have looked at 67-69 Camaros and noted the scary prices! Perhaps you could put me right on what is meant by 'clone' in some advertisements and descriptions.

Many thanks

cplthomas, Sir!!
It would be a bit like driving a Taxi! Of course an air-cooled engine would be useful here, but a beetle? no thanks! Just my opinion of course and I expect there are a lot of members on here that have one. So no disrespect intended. I have had many "sporty" cars over the years, a 1933 Morris 8 SV engine that fueled by AVTAG(aviation spirit combined with low grade petrol(gasoline) would do 70mph plus. A MG TC 1949 that the doors flew open when you went round a sharp bend on adverse camber(scary that). A Daimler V8 1965, a BMW 2002 1973, a Morris Marina 1.8TC, several Vauxhall's(UK Chevy)Mercedes Benz 190, Mercedes-Benz C320 2001(very quick) various Land Rover Discoveries and other SUV and currently a Nissan Tsuru and a Nissan X-Trail.... Sorry it went on a bit but thats life I'm afraid!
