Bill's Intro
Hello all,
Well I'm 36 as of June 30th. 5 months before my 16th birthday I bought my 69 convertible. 2 years later I did an on frame restoration. A year later the engine was suposed to be rebuilt, but I believe Joe ANderson Racing, unfortunately just swapped it out with an engine they had in the shop. The car went off to college with me. A year later it was stored at my brothers house for a year or so. Then back to school with me in Greenville,NC. The rust inside came back, and last year I traded out some work with a friend. Once we got the body apart we found deep rot in the unibody. So nowthe arguement I'm in is whether to go the route of a dynacorn body and use my trade to finish out the car or do I have him dive in and start hacking and replacing the origianl body. I need opinions. I'll probably never sell the car, and I would disclose the body if I ever did. I know what puriest say. But I am balancing a new born, a house addition, and the restoration of my camaro. So what do you all think. As deep as some of the work will take us intot the body, I'm am concerned about keepingthe body straight. I'm not an auto expert. I am a skilled metal artist, but have never really applied it myself to car work. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
