Introduction - Back in Black, or in my case, Mystic Blue.
I had originally written a very long story, of my journey from my last 5th gen, to my return to the platform. However, some details could still be up in the air, if anyone is interested in the full length version, i'll be happy to share it in the near future. For now, here's the short version.
I once had a 2013, Victory Red, Camaro RS with white stripes, dual mode exhaust, the works. Sold it in 2015 to support family health difficulties and have missed both the platform and the experience of driving a manual ever since. 10 long years later, I have returned. After a successful cash out on my previous ride (a 2014 Chevy SS Sedan), I found myself presented with this beauty, a Mystic Blue 2011 Camaro 2SS Manual with only 44k miles. The dealer has agreed to remove some of it's cosmetics i dislike, remove the aging and discolored window tint, and repair the curb rash on the wheels at no additional charge. And I walked away with money in my pocket for bills both medical and mechanical in nature. This is my first Camaro SS and I couldn't be more excited.
The test drive Not sure how i feel about the white, any recommendations on solid seat covers or other solutions would be appreciated. I love the ground effects package on these early 5th gens. That Color is absolutely gorgeous, also, not a single dent on this beauty. Stupid sharkfin on the hood isn't even secure, super wiggly.
sweet, welcome to the forum. how she look mechanically? looks very well cared for.
I don't wanna tempt fate, but based on the mileage, the carfax, and my experience driving her around so far, she seems solid mechanically speaking and absolutely feels well cared for, despite some questionable cosmetic choices. Just got her back from the dealer cleaning up said cosmetic choices, plus debadging the trunk, and removing the bubbling & discoloring window tint. They also repaired/ removed the few instances of curb rash on all four wheels, looks as good as new. For a 15 year old car, she's in great shape.
