94' 3.4l camaro stock delco radio problem
I have a 94' that is a time capsule with 17,000 original miles and a stock delco tape reciever. It was passed down to me and is in perfect condition. The car plays the tapes and radio just fine but the issue is the speakers. Assuming the stock speakers were blown or disconnected I bought a set of alpine speakers to replace the 2 fronts. With the radio up with the balance set to the center and the fade set to the center the driver's side speaker is loud and proud. The passenger side on the other hand is very faint even at full volume with the balance all the way to the right and the fade just to the front speakers. The rear speakers have no sound at all no matter what I do. Once I removed the two stock speakers and replaced them with the alpine same results occurred. I have taken the passenger kick panel off to reveal 4 oem factory plugs one of which runs both the front left and right speakers. Unplugging this makes the speakers no longer work. Pulled the dash apart to get behind the factory head unit to see the 94' made in Mexico stickers on was pretty cool. Checked the wiring and still nothing. I bought a aftermarket wireharness for a after market head unit to test if its not a head unit issue. If anyone has any suggestions just let me know.
